Please note new event date of Thursday 25 March.
On 25 March, Auckland Museum will be shining its rainbow colours into the night in celebration of Pride.
After Hours at the Museum is a social event for those who like something a little different. So join us for a sophisticated evening of music and good company set against the backdrop of our stunning Museum galleries.
Enjoy live music and performances from pianist Andy Keys, DJ Marjorie Sinclair spinning chilled tunes, and fresh from Les Misérables on Broadway, we have a special guest appearance by Hayden Tee, who will tingle your spines with some show-stopping musical numbers.
Relax in the beautiful Grand Foyer with its towering columns bathed in glorious lights. Grab a cocktail from the bar alongside our friendly host crew from the LGBTTI+ community.
The Museum’s public galleries will be open for you to explore, so make the most of strolling through our specially lit spaces without the crowds. For a more intimate experience, you can visit our Champagne Snug, and sip amongst the dinosaurs.
There’ll also be special tours around stories of our rainbow community in our newly-opened Tāmaki Herenga Waka gallery. Simply sign up on the night if you are interested.
