After finishing the largest Auckland Pride Festival in our history, Auckland Pride is proud to announce the dates for the 2021 Festival: 3-21 February!

Auckland Pride Festivals have typically spanned the first three weekends of February, so that it falls in between Melbourne’s Midsumma and Sydney’s Mardi Gras – as well as before the Auckland Fringe Festival. The first weekend of February in 2021 is Waitangi weekend, so as a result we’re opening the Festival on Wednesday the 3rd, so that we’re not asking our community to choose between opening festivities and commemorating Waitangi Day.

We are also excited to announce that Festival registrations will open in six month’s time, on August 17. Opening a month earlier than last year, we want to ensure that artists and event producers have enough time to create their events before the end of the year. Anyone who wishes to discuss their idea for their event or art they wish to showcase in the Festival should get in touch with the Director throughout the year.

Information regarding Auckland Pride’s major events will be released throughout the year.
