LGBTQI stories often come wrapped up in objects that conceal or reveal. In this stimulating session, five fantastic writers and creatives bring their precious queer objects and share the stories they hold. Community icon Carole Beu hosts these amazing writers and performers as they share stories about their most treasured objects. Join gay historian Chris Brickell, ground-breaking publisher Ian Watt, performer and musician Ramon Te Wake, and this year’s winner of the University of Auckland’s Sir James Wallace Creative Writing Prize, Jack Remiel Cottrell.
At the conclusion of this event, the winners of the Peter Wells Short Fiction Contest will be announced. Special thanks to Foundation North for their sponsorship of the contest. Refreshments available from 6.30pm.
Please note: Courtney Sina Meredith was originally billed to attend but is sadly unavailable.
