samesame but different is the only LGBTQI+ literary festival of it’s kind in Aotearoa, and indeed Australasia. We provide a space to celebrate and uplift queer literature and writers. Our 2021 programme tackles the theme of home and what that means to our LGBTQI+ communities. 2021 sees samesame but different in a new venue, offering free tickets and expanding the festival to include online, events during the week and more!
